Sharon Reid DDS
I graduated from the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry in 1979, and started my first practice shortly thereafter. From the beginning, I dedicated myself to providing a first class experience for my patients and a secure motivational atmosphere for my staff. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to continually enhancing my clinical skills and in the mid 1980s, I became interested in placing only restorative materials that do not contain mercury (amalgam fillings). This decision began my fascination with biocompatible and biological restorations that continues to this day.
In order to practice what I consider holistic dentistry in a state-of-the-art environment, I joined the Internal Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology in 1997 and became an accredited member.
Our team and I follow the guidelines set forth by the Academy to keep our patients mercury safe. You can learn more about these protocols by visiting www.IAOMT.org. In recent years, I have also become increasingly involved with the artistic aspect of dentistry. I completely believe that a patient’s life can be significantly impacted by simply improving their smile. This can be a procedure as straightforward as brightening their smile with a tooth whitening procedure, to making the smile healthier in appearance by treating a periodontal (gum) concern. My focus on cosmetic and restorative services (Veneers, Inlays, and Metal-Free Crowns) in my practice is to mimic nature by making each individual smile unique, yet natural.
I am a self-proclaimed health and fitness fanatic and I bring this passion to every aspect of my practice. My goal is to deliver vitality and better health to all individuals who want to keep and or restore the beauty and strength of their teeth. I sincerely believe that you should WEAR your smile. It is your most valuable asset. Thank you for the privilege to work with you.
